Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit are handling the follow up investigation following an early morning stabbing that occurred inside an apartment building in North Seattle.

Just before 5:00 am, 911 began receiving calls about a woman inside the building at North 141st and Linden Avenue North screaming for assistance.  One caller stated that she saw the female victim in the hallway of the building with obvious injuries.

North Precinct patrol officers responded and arrived within minutes.  The officers located the victim and began first aid until Seattle Fire arrived and took over primary care.  The 24-year-old female victim was transported by Seattle Fire medics to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Officers contained the building and a K-9 team responded for a search of the adult male suspect. Investigators believe that the suspect is the victim’s ex-boyfriend.  Officers searched the area, but did not immediately locate the suspect.  Officers and detectives are following up on leads attempting to locate the suspect.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.
