Officers Arrest Suspect in Belltown Stabbing Investigation

Officers arrested a 42-year-old man at a Belltown apartment building Tuesday morning following a report of a stabbing.

Police were called to the 2200 block of 1st Avenue around 9:30 AM after receiving a report a 50-year-old man had been stabbed inside an apartment building.

Officers quickly located the 42-year-old suspect and took him into custody.

Seattle Fire Department medics transported a 50-year-old man in stable condition to Harborview Medical Center.

Officers spoke with the victim, who said he was sitting in his apartment watching television when the suspect walked in and began stabbing him. The victim escaped and was able to call for help.

Both men are residents of the apartment building.

Officers booked the suspect into King County jail for investigation of assault.
