Suspect Wanted for DOC Violations Arrested in South Seattle, Gun Recovered

A 19-year-old male wanted for outstanding Department of Corrections violations was located and arrested yesterday afternoon in South Seattle.

Detectives from the Gang Unit, along with South Precinct patrol officers, members of the ATF, Kent Police Department and the Department of Corrections located the man in the 4700 block of South Graham Street.  The suspect attempted to run from officers and tried to access a handgun from  his waistband.  The suspect was arrested without incident and a Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine was recovered.

The man was later booked into the King County Jail for DOC violations and the gun was submitted into evidence.
