Update 8/9/19:
Homicide detectives had identified 38-year-old Derrick Holland as a suspect in the early Sunday morning homicide. Detectives believe Holland is driving a black 2011 Mercedes S550 Washington plate BBA8894.
Holland is six foot seven inches, 245 pounds, blue eyes, and red hair.
Holland should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Holland please call 911 immediately.

Original 8/4/19:
Detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed in the Rainier Beach neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Witnesses began calling 911 just after 2 AM Sunday morning to report a man had been shot multiple times in the 9500 block of Rainier Avenue South.
Police quickly arrived on scene and found the 51-year-old victim surrounded by people. Officers immediately began first aid and CPR until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center where he later died.
Homicide Detectives have now taken over the investigation and are asking anyone with information to please call the tip line at 206-233-5000.
