Police are investigating after a woman’s car was stolen from the Wedgewood neighborhood while her two children were still inside it. Officers later recovered the vehicle and the children, but are still searching for the suspects.
Police were called to Northeast 88 Street and Lake City Way Northeast at 6:43 pm Wednesday evening for a report of a stolen car that still had two children inside. Officers flooded the area and found the woman’s car and her two children at 33 Avenue Northeast and Northeast 123 Street. The children were unharmed.
Officers continue to search the surrounding neighborhood with the assistance of a K9 unit for the two suspects. One suspect is a light-skinned male wearing a red and white checkered shirt with black pants, the other is a white female with blonde hair wearing all black.
