A 52-year-old man is dead following a fight that occurred Saturday night in Lake City. A 39-year-old man was later arrested a short distance away and has been booked into the King County Jail for murder.
Officers responded to a report of a fight just after 6:00 pm in the 12500 block of 33rd Avenue NE. Officers arrived and located the male victim down on the sidewalk, unresponsive. Officers immediately began CPR and called for the Seattle Fire Department. SFD Medics arrived and continued CPR but the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Officers began interviewing witnesses and learned the identity of a possible suspect. Officers located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody.
Homicide and CSI detectives responded to process the scene and begin their investigation. The suspect was interviewed and later booked into jail. This remains an active and on-going investigation.
