Police Arrest Man After He Drops Heroin During Greenwood Traffic Stop

Police arrested a 42-year-old man in Greenwood last week and later seized a collection of guns and drugs, after he climbed out of his car during a routine traffic stop and dropped the ball of heroin onto the ground in front of police.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 9000 block of Greenwood Avenue North at 1 pm on October 15th. As officers approached the vehicle the driver exited the car and dropped a large gumball-sized baggie of black tar heroin. The officers took the 42-year-old man into custody. The officers could also see a handgun on the floor as well as cash and a safe.

The officers applied for a search warrant for the car, and later found a shotgun, two pistols, 2.2 grams of cocaine, 8.5 grams of Methamphetamine, and $831 in cash.



Police booked the suspect into King County Jail for narcotics charges.
