Four Arrested in Overnight Robberies in North Seattle

Four juvenile males were arrested early Tuesday morning after several street robberies were reported to police in North Seattle. Officers arrested the four suspects, ages 14, 16, and two 17-year-olds and recovered three handguns. The suspects were later booked into the Youth Services Center.

Just after 1:00 am this morning, officers responded to the parking lot of a convenience store in the 9500 block of Aurora Avenue North. A robbery victim told officers that a group of males attempted to rob her and her friend. The victims stated they were standing in the parking lot when a car pulled up next to them and four or five juvenile males got out, pointed guns at them, and attempted to rob them. The victims fled, boarding a nearby bus, but were able to provide 911 with a description of the suspects and their vehicle.

Officers located the suspect vehicle at N. 100th and Aurora Avenue North and attempted to stop it. Three of the occupants attempted to flee on foot from the vehicle, but were detained by officers. The suspect vehicle fled the area. All three of the suspects were in possession of firearms. The victims positively identified them as the correct suspects and they were arrested for robbery.

A fourth suspect was located near N. 105th and Aurora Avenue North and detained. He was also positively identified as one of the involved suspects. A fifth male suspect and the suspect vehicle have not yet been located.

The same suspects were involved in another reported robbery that occurred in the 9100 block of Aurora Avenue North a few minutes after the first robbery was reported. The victim in that case also positively identified the suspects.

The firearms were seized as evidence and the suspects were later booked into YSC. Detectives will handle the follow up investigation.
