Police arrested three people Saturday after they were caught trying to steal wire and piping from a Queen Anne construction site.
A 57-year-old man called 911 Saturday at 11:40 am to report someone breaking into a construction site in the 3200 block of 23rd Avenue West.
When police arrived they found the plywood blocking the front door had been pried open and they could hear people inside. Officers entered the building and found two women — 56 and 57-years old — and a 55-year-old man inside and surrounded by copper wire and pipes cut from the construction site.
Officers arrested the trio and booked them all into King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
