Update: Police Arrest Suspect in Friday Night Homicide

Officers arrested the suspect in Friday evening’s homicide investigation. Police booked the 21-year-old suspect into King County jail for investigation of homicide Sunday morning.

Detectives will now work with the Prosecutor’s office as the case moves forward.

Detectives are investigating after a man was killed following an argument in the Chinatown International District Friday night.

Just before 9 pm Friday, witnesses began calling 911 to report that a man had been shot in the 800 block of South King Street.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and found a man who had an apparent gunshot wound. Seattle Fire Department medics attempted to treat the injury but the man died at the scene.

The King County Medical Examiner will determine the man’s cause of death in the coming days.

Homicide detectives do not believe this was a random attack but are asking anyone with information to call the homicide tip line at (206)233-5000.
