Driver Arrested Following Fatal Collision With Motorcyclist in North Seattle

Police arrested a 26-year-old driver Wednesday morning in North Seattle after he was involved in a fatal collision with a motorcyclist. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) detectives are now investigating.

On Wednesday, just before 9 AM, the 26-year-old male failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Northeast 130th and 15th Northeast. At the same time, a motorcycle, ridden by an adult male was traveling southbound when the two collided. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot. Officers located the male several blocks away and took him in custody.

Officers evaluated the driver at the scene for signs of impairment and determined he was under the influence. Officers later booked him into the King County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide and hit and run.
