Update 8/20/20:
Detectives identified and located two suspects, a man and woman, and arrested them early this morning in North Seattle. The couple was brought to headquarters where they were interviewed by detectives. Following the interview, the female was released and the adult male was later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
Original Post 7/19/20:
Detectives are investigating following a fatal shooting in Pioneer Square Saturday night.
At approximately 10:25 PM, officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of 2nd Avenue South and South Washington Street. Officers located a male who had been shot and was down on the ground. Officers performed first aid on the victim until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The adult male victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and CSI responded and have begun their investigation. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Violent Crimes tip line at (206) 233-5000.
