#2020-223763/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 7-27-2020 at 0323 hours, a man was preparing to pump gas into his rental car. He stated he was seated in his car when he felt glass fragments hitting him. He thought the airbags had deployed but then realized someone was shooting at him, and he exited the car. The car was struck 14 times by gunfire. The victim does not know why he was targeted. He was uninjured.
#2020-224268/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 07-27-2020 at 1521 hours a caller reported 10 shots fired near 3900 South Othello Street. Another caller stated there were two males shooting at each other in the grocery store parking lot. South Precinct patrol officers and K9 units arrived and secured the scene. Five unoccupied vehicles were damaged by the gun fire but no one was injured.
#2020-224415/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 7-27-2020 at 1816 hours, officers responded to a shots fired call on the east side of Othello Park. The caller stated that a round struck a home, causing property damage. Upon arrival, officers located a witness who stated that there were two teenaged males that were walking in the street after socializing with a female sitting in the park. As the two were walking away, one of the males fired 3 rounds towards a home before walking away. Officers spoke with the owner of the home that was struck and discovered that the round narrowly missed a 4-year old boy who was standing at the window when the shot hit the window. The child was unharmed.

On 7-27-2020 at 2224 hours, officers responded to a reported shooting at Rainier Ave South & M L King Jr Way South. The area was searched but no victims or property damage was located.
