Detectives Investigating Wednesday Morning Homicide

UPDATE 8/15/20:

The 22-year-old male suspect was located and arrested by Department of Corrections officers in Kitsap County Friday. He was arrested without incident and interviewed by detectives. Following the interview he was booked into the King County Jail for murder and an outstanding DOC warrant.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.

Original Post 8/5/20:

Police were called to the Fire Station 5 in the 900 block of Alaskan Way at 11:30 am for a report of a man who had been stabbed. As police were arriving Medics were already loading the victim, a 39-year-old man, into an ambulance. They took the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he later died.

Witnesses said the victim and a suspect were in an argument just before the stabbing. They said the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The Homicide unit is working with witnesses in this case and pouring over evidence collected at the scene by the Crime Scene Investigations Unit.
