#2020-228485/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 8-1-2020 at 0310 hours, people reported hearing gunshots at a couple of different locations. The incident started in the 2600 block of Alki Ave SW and continued to the 4700 BLK of California Ave SW. According to one man, he was at a fast food restaurant when a dark vehicle pulled up. He stated that the suspects looked at him and started shooting at him. The victim got inside his vehicle and drove away. The suspects then followed the victim and shot at him. The victim stated that he shot back at the suspects. When officers located the victim, his vehicle had several bullet holes in it and shattered glass. His vehicle also had two firearms inside, so the vehicle was impounded.  

#2020-228875/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 8-1-2020 at 1613 hours, officers responded to a 911 report of shots being fired from vehicles in the vicinity of NE 125th St and 24th Ave NE. Upon arrival, the two involved vehicles and their occupants had already left. Through interviewing witnesses, Officers determined that two vehicles traveling westbound on NE 125th St started shooting at each other. Officers canvassed the area and did not locate any injuries or property damage. 

#2020-228900/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 8-1-2020 at 1643 hours, a man requested police response after he walked past a house that had signs about killing people and police.  The man feels racially profiled and said there were 3 males in front yard yelling at passersby.  Officers responded, investigated, and documented the incident.  

#2020-228958/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 08-01-20 at 1805 hours, a call came in that a man outside a convenience store in the 2000 block of Rainier AV S had five-dollars stolen from him by two male suspects, who also pushed the victim down causing a non-life threatening head wound. When a witness tried to intervene, the suspects pulled a knife, threatening the witness. The suspects backed-up their vehicle to flee but struck a car in the process. The car owner then became upset, went to his car and retrieved a handgun, and fired one shot into the air as the suspects drove away. All parties except the victim fled prior to officers’ arrival. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital. 

#2020-229075/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 8-1-2020 at 2054 hours, this incident was initially reported as a “Female in drive-thru (of fast food establishment) refusing to leave and pulled a gun and pointed it at staff.” Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, officers determined the incident was unfounded. The caller ultimately advised he never saw a gun but became fearful when the female touched her stomach near her belt line. The female said the man accused her of not paying for the order, which was placed and paid for using an APP, then refused to fulfill the order once she challenged him.
