#2020-231955/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-5-2020 at 0038 hours there was a reported robbery at gunpoint where the suspects took a wallet and phone. The suspects left in black vehicle. An area check by officers did not locate vehicle. About 45 minutes later, officers were advised by victim that suspects had taken cash out at nearby location. Officers responded and located the suspect vehicle parked outside. Officers conducted a felony stop on the vehicle and took three suspects into custody. The victim positively identified one suspect and suspect vehicle. A gun was located in back seat of vehicle which came back to stolen gun out of Auburn. Vehicle impounded.
#2020-231976/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-5-2020 at 0151 hours, officers were dispatched to check on 5 shots heard in the Georgetown area. Officers arrived but there were no victims and no suspect information. Patrol processed the scene.
#2020-231982/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-5-2020 at 0211 hours, SPD was requested to respond to an area hospital to investigate a stabbing that had occurred near the 4200 block of SW Morgan St. An officer contacted the victim, who stated he was involved in a verbal argument that led to a physical fight. At some point, the victim was stabbed in the side of his body. The victim flagged down a motorist who drove him to the hospital. Officers were unable to locate the crime scene or the suspect. The injuries are not life threatening.
#2020-232623/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-5-2020 at 2000 hours, protestors took to the streets of Capitol Hill. Other than minor property damage (pulling boards off a local coffee chain’s windows and pulling many large dumpsters and debris into the roadway) no significant incident occurred. A bike sergeant had an object launched at him via a sling shot but he was not struck. Multiple lasers were pointed towards officers. One arrest was made. The event concluded around 2330 hours.
#2020-232686/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-5-2020 at about 2109 hours, a male met up with the female suspect and male suspect at a business parking lot in the North End. The victim admitted that he was meeting with the female and male to sell them some weed. While the three were in the victim’s vehicle, the male suspect pulled out two handguns and pointed them at the victim. The male suspect told the victim he was robbing him and would shoot him. The female suspect told the male suspect not to shoot the victim. The victim jumped out of his vehicle, and dropped his car keys on the ground, when the male suspect ordered him to. The victim then ran towards the business. He saw the male suspect drive off in the victim’s vehicle, and saw the female suspect drive off in her vehicle. The victim stated he knew the female suspect but had never met the male suspect. The victim stated that he only communicated with them via a social media app. An area search was unsuccessful.
