#2020-180379/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 9-9-2020 at 0730 hours, ATF, FBI, ABS and other SPD members of the Joint Arson Task Force arrested a suspect for his participation in the May 30th, 2020 riot in downtown Seattle. The masked suspect was captured on video throwing Molotov cocktails at two of the SPD vehicles that were destroyed that day. Today he was taken into custody at his workplace in Mountlake Terrace, WA. A search warrant was subsequently served on his home in Edmonds WA where additional evidence was seized. The suspect will be charged federally for two counts of Arson and two counts of Possession of a Destructive Device. Each charge has the potential 5-year mandatory minimum sentence. 

#2020-260975/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 9-9-2020 at 0746 hours, an officer located an occupied stolen vehicle parked near 7 Av S and S Donovan ST. Officers formed a contact team and arrested both occupants without incident. The driver of the vehicle admitted to stealing the vehicle and was later booked into the King County Jail. The passenger was released at the scene. 

#2020-262864/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 9-9-2020 at 1342 hours, officers responded to a felony theft from a business located in the 7300 block of Delridge Way SW. The suspect fled on foot into nearby apartments. Officers located the suspect after he changed some of his clothing. The suspect was the same suspect involved in similar behavior at another store in 4700 block of 44th Ave SW hours earlier. The suspect had been previously trespassed from this store for shop lifting. The suspect was placed into custody without incident and booked for investigation of burglary and theft.
