#2020-270139/East Precinct/Third Watch: 

On 9-18-2020 at 0208 hours, the victim and the suspect live in the same building and the suspect has frequently harassed the victim because of her gender identity. In this incident, the suspect kicked in the victim’s door and stood outside of it holding a golf club raised above his head. The victim feared an imminent assault and called 911. Officers located and arrested the suspect for the hate crime. 

#2020-270355/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 9-18-2020 at 948 hours in front of SPD HQ, a group of 17 cars and approximately 50 people blocked the intersection in protest of the police. They used signs, bull horns and noise makers. North, West and Traffic units diverted traffic. A demonstrator advised that they would be blocking the street for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. After 20 minutes the group got back into their vehicles and left east on cherry and north on Interstate 5. There were no reports of property destruction or violence. 

#2020-270830/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 9-18-2020 at 1954 hours, an on duty uniformed SPD patrol officer was driving a fully marked vehicle with lights and sirens activated to an in-progress burglary call when he collided with a civilian vehicle in a controlled intersection.  The officer had no injuries.  The sole occupant (driver) of the civilian vehicle complained of body discomfort and was transported to a local hospital.  Both vehicles were towed.
