2020-296192/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 9-17-2020 at 0300 hours, a suspect entered victim business and demanded free food. When the clerk refused, suspect displayed firearm demanding cash. Suspect stole approximately $150 in small bills and fled on foot. Multiple patrol units responded and set up containment. K9 responded and attempted track of suspect. Suspect was not located.
#2020-269235/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 9-17-2020 at 0345 hours, a male was working on his Sonata in the parking lot located at the 9000 BLK of 16 AV SW. A Brown Crown Victoria pulled up next to the male and a group of suspects get out of the vehicle. The suspects approached the male/victim. A known suspect picked up a tire iron and made threats to strike the victim. The suspect then took the victim’s vehicle and the keys to another one of the victim’s vehicle. Officers conducted an area search for the suspects, but it was clear.
#2020-269261/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 9-17-2020 at 0625 hours, the owner of Jade Garden caught two suspects damaging his property. When he confronted them, a verbal argument ensued, one of the suspects pushed him, and ran to their vehicle. The victim went into his restaurant, grabbed his gun, that was legally licensed to him and came back out. The suspects drove towards him at a high rate of speed attempting to hit him. He jumped back, and as he did, he accidentally discharged one round. The suspects fled on 7 Ave. No injuries reported. An area check for the suspects had negative results.
