#2020-282536/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-2-2020 at 1144 hours, officers observed a silver 2009 Acura with stolen license plates near 16 Ave SW/SW Holden St. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the two occupants. A check of the VIN showed the vehicle was also stolen on 9/23/20. The driver was placed under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle and the passenger was released at the scene. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

#2020-282642/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-2-2020 at 1330 hours, while a male was sitting outside the Home Depot in north Seattle, a truck pulled up with two suspects whom the victim had met before. The suspects were both from Mexico. The victim said the driver stopped his vehicle next to the victim and insulted him because he was from El Salvador. The two suspects then both got out of their vehicle and began punching the victim. The suspects fled in their vehicle and were gone when patrol arrived. The victim sustained minor scrapes and cuts in the fight. He was treated by Seattle Fire. 

#2020-282777/South Precinct/Second Watch: 

On 10-2-2020 at 1607 hours, patrol officers responded to a report of shots being fired near a mini mart located in the 9400 blk of Rainier Av S. Officers quickly arrived but did not locate any victims. Witnesses had conflicting accounts about it possibly being a domestic disturbance with a single shot fired into the air, to subjects exchanging gun fire from a moving vehicle in the intersection. A single bullet strike had passed through the wall of a building. 

#2020-282911/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-2-2020 at 1809 hours, a male was at home when the suspect knocked on his apartment door. The suspect called the victim by name and said he was from the building and needed to check something in the apartment. The victim let the suspect in and the suspect pulled a handgun on him. The suspect demanded money from the victim and stated he knew the victim had lots of money from his business. The victim explained that he did not have money and gave him 2 watches/bracelets and the suspect took his phone and left the apartment. The victim stated he believed from the conversation with the suspect that he was targeted. 

#2020-283001/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-2-2020 at 1959 hours, a silver vehicle was northbound on Rainier approaching ML King Jr Wy S, when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The vehicle and occupant(s) fled the scene. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries. The vehicle and its suspected driver were subsequently located away from the scene. A Drug Recognition Expert examined the adult male and detected signs of impairment. The driver was treated for unrelated injuries and later booked into the King County Jail. 

#2020-283006/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-2-2020 at 2002 hours, two vehicles were northbound on ML King Jr Wy S approaching S Dakota St. The trailing vehicle, an SUV driven by an adult male, overtook the leading vehicle, a sedan driven by an adult male, at high speed. The vehicles collided, causing the lead vehicle to go over an embankment, and the trailing vehicle rolled several times, coming to rest on the light rail tracks. The trailing driver was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert, who detected signs of impairment. The lead/victim driver sustained substantial bodily injury. The suspect was being treated for injuries sustained during the collision and will be booked for Investigation of Vehicular Assault upon his release. 

#2020-283108/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-2-2020 at 2225 hours, a southbound vehicle was said to have cut the corner while turning from sb 1 Av S to eb Holgate St, striking an adult male pedestrian in the east crosswalk of the intersection. The vehicle fled the scene and was not located. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries.
