On 10-9-2020 at 0016 hours, a house in the 1600 block of NE 137 St had a large blue line American flag flying outside. The residence was warned to remove the flag and its occupants were verbally harassed because of it. When the residents refused to remove the flag, graffiti, like ACAB was painted on the street in front of the house. The wife convinced her husband to remove the large flag and replace it with a smaller flag of similar design. At 0016 hours, an off-duty SPD Sergeant reported hearing the sound of gunfire in the 1600 block of NE 137 St. It appears the blue line flag residence was the victim of a drive-by shooting. Two people were home at the time, but neither were injured from the shooting. Based on surveillance video a dark colored sedan drove EB on NE 137 St, shot at the house and left SB on 17 Av NE.
