Homicide detectives are currently investigating after a man was killed by gunfire this afternoon in the parking lot of an apartment complex in North Seattle.
At about 2:50 PM, officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired and a person down in the parking lot of the apartment complex in the 11200 block of Roosevelt Way NE. Officers arrived and found the victim and immediately provided first aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was transported by medics to the hospital but was declared deceased enroute to the hospital.
Officers conducted a search in the area but did not locate a suspect. Detectives responded to the scene and have begun their investigation.
