#2020-295273/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-16-2020 at 1106 hours, officers responded to Occidental Park for a report of five people fighting. Multiple calls came in, including one from MID Ambassadors who reported the suspect had stolen a security guard’s radio and was running around the park. Officers arrived and immediately took the suspect into custody. The suspect attempted to bite officers. He spat in the faces of two officers. The spittle was thick with mucus and blood. It was determined the suspect had assaulted a man sleeping in the park, then stole his shoes. The suspect attacked a dog, and several other people in the park. He assaulted an area security guard and stole his radio. The suspect demanded people give them money as he attacked them. In total there were six victims (including two officers). The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of Animal Cruelty, Assault, and Robbery. Both Officers received medical treatment for the exposure. 

#2020-295538/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-16-2020 at 1635 hours, officers responded to the report of multiple shots fired in the area of S. Henderson St and the Chief Sealth Trail. One of the shots hit an uninvolved vehicle as it was stopped for traffic on S. Henderson St. The lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured by the gunfire. Witnesses at the scene provided limited suspect information but did report from 13 to 18 shots heard in the area. 

#2020-295561/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-16-2020 at 1657 hours, North patrol officers responded to a 911 call from a resident who heard multiple gunshots in the area of NE 125th ST and 8 AV NE. Officers arrived in the area. Multiple residents reported to officers that they had also heard the shots. They heard a vehicle speed away northbound after the shots.  No victims or suspects were located during an extensive area search.
