Multiple suspects fired more than two dozen shots at a parked vehicle Monday morning in the Eastlake neighborhood, striking the occupant in the leg.
Police responded to several 911 calls reporting gunshots in the 2000 block of Minor Ave East at 8:00am Monday morning. Officers arrived, and applied a tourniquet to a 19-year-old man, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh. Medics then transported the man to the hospital.
Witnesses reported three suspects opened fire on the victim’s car and then fled the area in their own vehicle. Bullets struck at least three vehicles, and officers recovered more than two dozen casings at the scene.
