Detectives Investigating North Seattle Homicide, Suspect in Custody

Seattle Police Officers arrested a 41-year-old man for homicide Sunday night, in connection with an incident earlier this month.

On October 9th, the suspect assaulted a 61-year-old man who attempted to intervene in a domestic dispute in the 700 block of North 143rd Street. On October 23rd, the King County Medical Examiner’s office notified the SPD Homicide Unit the victim had been pronounced dead. It is believed the victim succumbed to injuries received during the assault. Shortly after 8:00pm on October 25th, officers returned to the same address and located the suspect. He was consequently arrested for homicide and booked into the King County Jail.

Detectives will be working closely with the King County Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death. This is an on-going investigation. Anyone with information should contact Seattle Police Tip line 206-233-5000.
