#2020-323273/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-19-2020 at 0118 hours, a convenience store clerk reported that a male stole two drinks from his store, and then after he made it outside, he held a red pistol in his waistband while menacing the clerk. The suspect fled and was located in the area. He was detained and positively identified by the clerk. No firearm was recovered. There were no injuries and no significant loss. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.

#2020-323502/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-19-2020 at 0915 hours, a garbage truck of Seattle Parks livery, driven by an adult female, was westbound on S Othello St. A motorcycle, operated by an adult male, was southbound on Rainier Av S. According to witnesses, the motorcycle rider failed to stop for the red signal and struck the garbage truck broadside, sustaining life-threatening injuries.

#2020-324033/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-19-2020 at 2054 hours, a man attempted to steal over $20 of merchandise from a market in Lower Queen Anne. The suspect assaulted the security guard in an attempt to flee with the stolen goods. The security guard prevailed in the struggle and handcuffed the suspect before police arrived. The suspect was found to be armed with a knife and in possession of methamphetamine and Oxycodone. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of Robbery and VUCSA.

#2020-324046/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-19-2020 at 2113 hours, a male wearing dark clothing was seen lighting a trash can on fire at the bus stop at 15 AV NE and NE Pacific St. As he continued walking e/b on NE Pacific St, several other dumpsters and garbage cans had been lit on fire. Seattle Fire, a Fire Marshall, and King County Metro all responded. Officers conducted an area check but did not locate the suspect. The Arson Bomb Squad was notified via phone.

#2020-324062/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-19-2020 @ 2130 hours, an intoxicated female driver crashed her vehicle into a ditch at 23 Av S and S Spokane St. As officers were trying to contact her, she put her vehicle in reverse and attempted to flee, but she wasn’t able to because her vehicle got stuck in the mud. As an officer tried to speak to her, she flicked a burning cigarette at the officer. She was arrested for Investigation of Assault 3 and DUI. The suspect refused BAC Draeger. DUI Blood Warrant was obtained. She was transported to Swedish for a legal blood draw. During the legal blood draw, she spat at an officer. Throughout the incident, the suspect made many derogatory statements “that would be considered bias under SPD Policy and City of Seattle” toward officers about their race and gender. The suspect also yelled derogatory comments toward a Swedish ER Security Guard about his race and his native country. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault 3 (two counts) and DUI.
