Update:
Officers searching Belltown found and arrested the suspect just before 4 PM Monday.
Homicide detectives are currently interviewing the suspect who will be booked into King County Jail for investigation of murder.

Detectives are investigating after a woman was murdered in the Belltown neighborhood Monday morning.
Shortly before 11 AM witnesses began calling 911 to report a woman had been stabbed in the 2200 block of 1 Avenue.
Officers arrived within moments and began providing aid to the victim. Medics arrived shortly after that and took over life-saving efforts, but the victim was declared dead at the scene.
Officers are now searching the area for the suspect who was last seen walking from the area. Witnesses described the suspect as a 58-year-old white male, with glasses, a beard, and wearing a blue jacket.
Homicide detectives are taking over the investigation and will release additional information as it becomes available.
