#2021-067755/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-20-2021 at 0019 hours, street racers lined up at 11 Avenue NE / NE 47 Street and prepared to race. Patrol responded, employed several tactics, and flushed the racers from the area.

#2021-068029/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-20-2021 at 1157 hours, an unknown male placed a suspicious package at the southern security gate of the East Precinct. Patrol responded and detained the individual while making the area safe around the package. The Arson Bomb Squad was called and responded to the scene. The Bomb Tech examined the package and determined it to be non-threatening. ABS detectives interviewed the involved person and he was later released.

#2021-068472/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-20-2021 at 2230 hours, a male was abducted from his vehicle at gunpoint by 2 suspects who forced him into their vehicle. Suspects transported victim to an ATM while robbing him of personal items en route. They forced him to withdraw money, which was unsuccessful, and victim was released unharmed. Incident screened with homicide.

#2021-068455/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-20-2021 at 2230 hours, officers responded to a monitored video alarm where a suspect was seen taking tools and equipment from a construction site. Officers located a suspect matching the description given by the alarm monitor, with the described stolen items, leaving the immediate area. Officers contacted the suspect who resisted officers’ attempt to detain him. A fast backup was called, and several officers arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody without any use of force. Suspect claimed to have a medical issue and was screened by fire on scene. Items taken from the scene were valued at over $10,000. Suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary. The construction site foreman said the same suspect has burglarized this location several times, and he once sold the stolen items back to the victims.

#2021-68477/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-20-2021 at 2305 hours, officers responded to a Safeway location for a disturbance incident. Officers arrived, interviewed the caller, and determined no crime had been committed. However, during the disturbance the subject called the female employee a racial slur as he was leaving the store. An area check was completed with negative results for the subject.
