#2021-68580/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 03-21-2021 at 0201 hours, Swedish ER called re: victim from 21-68558 who had showed up for treatment. The victim provided suspect info to responding officers. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect, with the victim providing a positive ID. A possible weapon was recovered. Suspect booked for Investigation of Assault.
#2021-068558/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 03-21-2021 at 0207 hours, a victim called 9-1-1 saying she was stabbed in the hand. Unknown location of suspect. While officers were en route, victim left the scene, and refused to give more information to dispatchers. Officers located blood near a tent, and on the sidewalk, but no one was forthcoming with information. Harborview Medical Center was checked, but no victim was located.
#2021-68608/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 03-21-2021 at 0404 hours, officers responded to the area of 43 Av. S./S. Othello St. The caller reported that his friend had been shot, with no further details and no suspect info. Officers arrived on scene and locked it down. Seattle Fire responded to treat the victim’s injuries of a gunshot wound to the left side below the arm pit. The victim was transported by SFD Medic unit to Harborview Medical Center for further medical treatment. The round appeared to travel through and through. Search made for evidence, photos of scene. Suspects were reported to be in a vehicle, victim unable to give any further details.
#2021-68753/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 03-21-2021 at 1030 hours, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Pike Grocery. The owner of this business is an adult male and he reported bias-related harassment involving an adult male that frequently enters his store. Because the owner feels that the male harasses him and causes disturbances without purchasing anything, the owner asked him to leave his business. The subject responded with a threat to the store owner that he would “kick his (racial slur) ass”. The subject then pulled the business fire alarm and exited the front door. Seattle Fire responded to the scene and reset the alarm. Officers also responded and searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect at this time. Evidence was recovered. The bias crimes coordinator was notified of this crime.
#2021-069007/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 03-21-2021 at 1741 hours, Uwajimaya security called to report a suspicious object in the parking garage. Officers and a sergeant responded and determined it was two soda cans, containing soda with shoestrings staged as fuses. The suspect had been seen attempting to light the shoelaces. The suspect was located nearby, identified and released.
#2021-069082/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 03-21-2021 at 1939 hours, a suspect was seen by witnesses firing one shot in the air and walked away. The suspect was by himself and did not interact with anyone. The suspect left the area before officers arrived. Evidence of a shooting was recovered. No victim, no damage, and no suspect found. Patrol processed the scene and will forward the report to the Gun Violence Reduction Unit.
