#2021-094847/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 04-19-2021 at 0430 hours, patrol responded with Seattle Fire for several small debris and trash can fires. Patrol was able to identify the suspect and make an arrest. Arson Bomb Squad Detectives responded to assist with the investigation and will handle the follow-up.
#2021-95449/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-19-2021 at 1732 hours, officers made contact with a very intoxicated female who appeared to be in crisis. Officers were able to successfully de-escalate the female to the point that they were able to walk her over to an AMR stretcher to be taken to a hospital. As officers were placing the female on the stretcher, she reached out and punched an officer in the face, causing a minor injury. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Assault-3.
#2021-095628/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 04-19-2021 at 2059 hours, a suspect entered a business at closing time, brandished a weapon at employees, emptied money from the cash drawers and the safe, then ordered the employees to stay in the back room. The suspect fled in an unknown direction, and unknown if on foot or in a vehicle. Officers conducted an extensive area check and searched for evidence, but with negative results. The Robbery Unit was notified.
#2021-095706/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 04-19-2021 at 2222 hours, officers responded with Seattle Fire to a report of a fire in a building under construction. SFD extinguished the fire which was contained to a small area of the lower floor of a large apartment/condo building under construction. Fire Marshal responded and determined that the fire was caused by arson. Fire Marshal stated that they would notify the SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad.
