Police are investigating after a man shot two people at an encampment Thursday morning in the South Park neighborhood.
Around 8:30 AM, police received reports of gunfire for the 6800 block of 2nd Avenue Southwest.
Officers arrived at the scene and found an injured man and woman.
Witnesses told officers a black male in his mid-to-late-20s walked into an encampment and opened fire into a car, striking the man and a woman inside.
The suspect then fled, possibly in a white Dodge sedan.
Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victims to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The 20-year-old male is reportedly in critical condition. The 28-year-old woman was listed in serious condition.
SPD SWAT, K9, and the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter are all assisting in the investigation.
