#2021-097754/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 0830 hours, a male and female victim were inside their vehicle in an encampment located in the 6900 BLK of 2 Ave SW. A suspect walked up and fired several rounds inside the vehicle, striking the victims in the arm, abdomen, and torso. The suspect left on foot. Officers arrived and set up containment. Guardian 1, K9, Traffic Units, and SWAT, responded to the scene and assisted with the search. The suspect wasn’t located. A witness on scene said that the same suspect was inside a White newer model Dodge Charger or Challenger prior to the shooting. A witness on scene also stated that the suspect possibly used a silencer on the firearm. The suspect’s vehicle wasn’t located. The victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center. Homicide was advised of the incident.

#2021-097788/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 0928 hours, a complainant called to report a damage call that occurred sometime between 04/21/2021 at 2000, and this morning at about 0730 hours. The incident occurred at the 2900 BLK of SW Avalon Wy (Petcare Center Luna Park). Evidence of a shooting was located in the lobby area of the business, and there was damage to a window frame on the east side of the building. There were about five or six locations of new damage. Officer on scene photographed the damage.

#2021-097828/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 1015 hours, a suspect entered a bank, approached a teller and handed her a note. The note told the teller to place all the money in a bag the suspect had placed on the counter. The teller complied and the suspect left with the bag of money.

#2021-97869/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 1116 hours, two clients at a mental health facility got into a heated argument. During the argument the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the lower abdomen. The victim then sprinted away from the suspect who gave chase with the knife in his hand as well as a collapsible baton in the other. The victim sprinted across Rainer Av S and waited for officers at the Shell station. Officers arrived with Seattle Fire and treated the victim who was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Officers located the suspect and took him into custody. He was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of assault. A knife and baton were recovered on scene.

#2021-097995/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 1348 hours, officers responded to the area of M L King and S Holly regarding shots fired from a vehicle. Officers arrived and determined that one vehicle had been firing at a second car. No victims or damaged property were located. Officers processed the scene, collected evidence, and conducted an area search – neither party located at this time. Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives were notified and will handle the follow-up.

#2021-098147/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 1717 hours, two victims were standing outside of a home in the 1200 block S Concord St when they heard the sounds of shots being fired. The victims quickly ducked and did not observe who fired the shots or where they came from. The house was struck six times in the general area the victims were standing. Three additional subjects were inside the home to include the homeowner. Nobody was injured during the incident. Officers responded and conducted an area check with negative results. Witnesses observed two subjects running from the scene directly after the shots were fired. Officers processed the scene and collected evidence. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified of the incident.

#2021-98364/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 2145 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting call that was related to a hit and run collision. Prior to officers arriving, the suspects and victims had fled the area. One involved vehicle was left at the scene. The vehicle had clearly been struck by at least one round. The vehicle appeared to have collided into an uninvolved vehicle after being shot at. Officers contacted multiple witnesses and they all gave conflicting stories. The involved vehicle was impounded to the processing room. No other evidence of a shooting was located at the scene.

#2021-098443/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-22-2021 at 2356 hours, a caller reported that a female was on the NE 145 St overpass of Interstate 5. The female originally had her feet hanging over the railing. SPD officers arrived as well as Washington State Patrol. WSP blocked the freeway. The female went completely over the railing just hanging with her arms. Officers were able to convince her to come back over to the street side. An SPD officer developed a great rapport with the subject and was able to get her to walk into the AMR and she was taken to the hospital.
