#2021-102370/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-27-2021 @ 1302 hours, a male came into the Home Street bank and presented one of the tellers with a note demanding money and if she cooperated no one would get hurt. The teller put the money into a plastic Bartell’s bag the suspect had given her. The suspect took the bag and left the bank without further incident.

#2021-102381/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-27-2021 at 1309 hours, security at a K-8 School observed a male at an encampment outside of school property but on Seattle School District property cleaning what looked like a rifle outside of his tent. No threats were made. Officers responded and made contact with the subject. The subject said he was cleaning an airsoft rifle and gave officers consent to search his tent to retrieve and verify that it was an airsoft rifle. The subject explained that the airsoft rifle is used to eliminate rats that encircle his tent during hours of darkness because of the trash surrounding his tent which is on Seattle School District property. Officers explained and the subject understood the police response over public alarm at seeing a possible armed individual near a school. The subject was released at the scene.

#2021-99442/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-27-2021, additional follow-up investigating was done on a reported 04-24-2021 harassment from a suspect who was in a state of crisis. After additional investigation, officers developed probable cause for a hate crime offense based on comments made by the suspect regarding the victim’s national origin coupled with threats to assault the victim. Bias Coordinator notified.

#2021-102398/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-27-2021 at 2030 hours, a suspect from Auburn, WA contacted a high-level City Official’s direct phone line and made threats to kill this person. SPD Intel identified this suspect and developed probable cause for this suspect. The suspect was determined to reside outside of the City of Seattle. Officers to the suspect’s residence and safely placed him in custody. The suspect was transported and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Felony Harassment.

#2021-102832/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-27-2021 at 2143 hours, a pedestrian attempted to “J-Walk” across the 10500 block of N Northgate Way and was struck by a vehicle. Seattle Fire transported the conscious/alert pedestrian to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver on scene was cooperative and evaluated by a drug recognition expert (DRE certified) officer and found to not be impaired. N Northgate Way was shut down in both directions for approximately 1 hour while officers processed the scene.

#2021-102848/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-27-2021 at 2210 hours, a resident living in a residential complex in the 5900 block of Delridge WY SW heard a gunshot and saw a bright flash of light outside of her building. Officers responded to the complex and found no victims. No suspect was found.
