#2021-103832/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 0005 hours, two suspects entered a gas station mini mart. They checked the store for customers and then one suspect pulled out a handgun, went behind the counter, and ordered the clerk to open the till. The suspects took the contents of the till and several tobacco products and left on foot. This robbery is related to a series of twelve robberies that are being investigated county wide, including in Seattle. The Latent Print Unit responded and assisted with processing the scene.

#2021-104388/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 0445 hours, a fire started in a recycling bin by an unknown suspect. The fire failed to ignite the building nearby. The SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad and Seattle Fire’s fire marshal were notified.

#2021-103923/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 0508 hours, a resident reported that a person wearing a paper bag over their head was walking on the sidewalk near their home. The suspect turned to a window and said, “I want to eat your parents.” This was seen by the caller’s children. The suspect also pointed to a religious symbol on their home and made what could be considered a biased gesture before leaving on foot. Suspect not located. Alert email sent to detectives.

#2021-103934/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 0547 hours, officers responded to a closed marijuana business after 911 received a call that security was detaining a burglar. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect threw a log through the front window of the business. When he attempted to jump over the middle support bar of the door, he fell on the shattered glass causing a significant laceration to his head. All of this occurred directly in front of the hired uniform security guard watching the premise who then confronted the suspect. During the contact with the security guard, the suspect was tasered and detained in handcuffs. Seattle Fire responded and treated the suspect, who was then transported to Harborview Medical Center before booking into the King County Jail.

#2021-103915/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

Earlier this month, officers arrested individuals and contacted the SPD’s Major Crimes Task Force. A follow-up investigation led to a warrant service. The suspects were dealing fentanyl laced oxycodone pills. On 04-29-2021 at 0600 hours, MCTF Detectives secured a search warrant and with the assistance of officers, MCTF Detectives served a search warrant at a residence in West Seattle. Two suspects were taken into custody. The residence was searched, and officers recovered 20.8g Heroin 18g Meth 16x Pills Adderall 6x Pills Xanax 14x Pills Ritalin (20mg) 151x Pills Oxycodone (30mg) A vehicle was impounded and will be searched. This is an ongoing investigation.

#2021-104058/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 0904 hours, a suspect broke out a window on a victim’s RV, then put burning material inside, causing a small fire. Patrol officers arrived and were able to extinguish the flames. The suspect was located and arrested. The SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad Detectives responded to assist.

#2021-104187/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 1134 hours, reporting party (RP) left his vehicle parked overnight in the parking lot of Magnuson Park because it would not start. When the RP returned the next day to pick up his vehicle, he discovered that all the windows were broken, 3 out of 4 tires were slashed, and the vehicle was heavily keyed on every panel. A swastika was also keyed into one of the vehicle doors. RP did not believe he was personally targeted in any way as it was nearly impossible for the suspect(s) to even know who owned the vehicle.

#2021-73656/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 1700, the SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit and U.S. Marshal’s task force arrested a suspect coming out of his residence, served a warrant at the location and impounded his vehicle pending a search warrant. The suspect is associated with a well-known gang.

#2021-104644/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 2002 hours, officers responded to a report of someone shot in the 12500 block of 28th Ave NE. Officers arrived to find an adult male inside an RV with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Officers determined the victim was hanging out inside the RV, when an unidentified suspect stepped inside the open door, yelled something, and shot the victim one time in the abdomen. The suspect then fled the scene, possibly in a vehicle. Witnesses were unable to provide a suspect description. A possible suspect was dropped off at NW Hospital, with an apparent self-inflicted GSW to the thigh. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center and appears in stable condition. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit processed the shooting scene and responded to both hospitals. The GVRU will handle follow-up responsibilities.

#2021-104728/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-29-2021 at 2149 hours, officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting, in the 500 block of 23rd Ave. Officers arrived to find an adult male, with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. Officers rendered medical aid, until relieved by Seattle Fire. Officers determined the victim was waiting outside Ezell’s, when the suspect vehicle drove into the parking lot. The suspect vehicle was described as an older gold or tan sedan, occupied by 3-4 males. One suspect exited the vehicle and shot the victim one time in the abdomen. A second suspect fired at the victim from inside the vehicle. One of these rounds also struck the restaurant window. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center and appears in stable condition. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit processed the scene and recovered evidence of a shooting. One involved vehicle was impounded. The GVRU will handle follow-up responsibilities.
