#2021-109308/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 05-05-2021 at 0722 hours, a passerby reported seeing people fighting at the intersection of 4 AV S and S Spokane St. Officers learned that a white truck stopped, and three suspects approached the victim who was in possession of a bicycle and demanded their stolen bicycle back (victim provided proof of ownership). The victim refused to give the bicycle to the suspects and was struck multiple times causing minor injuries. The victim held onto his bicycle and the suspects fled. Suspects were not located.

#2021-109917/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-05-2021 at 2013 hours, officers responded to a report of an arson. The suspect was using lit newspaper to try to catch a wooden residential fence on fire. The resident of the house pulled the lit newspaper out of the fence before the wood caught on fire. The suspect had a previous conviction for arson. Officers were able to book the suspect into jail for Reckless Burning 2nd Degree since he was a life safety risk to the public.

#2021-109955/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-05-2021 at 2051 hours, witnesses reported a drive-by shooting at NE 50 St / 40 Av NE, involving two vehicles. The on-scene investigation revealed the suspect, who was positioned in the back seat of a silver Audi, fired several shots at a black Mustang. Officers located evidence of a shooting but were unable to locate the involved vehicles. No victims or property damage were discovered or reported.

#2021-109157/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-05-2021 at 2320 hours, officers responded to a mail thief suspect. The suspect broke into a secure apartment complex, secure mailboxes, and two vehicles. The suspect also attempted to break into a secure storage room. He used a hammer and a garden hoe to open the different doors. This also caused a significant about of damage (over $10,000). Officers arrested the suspect and booked him into jail. The suspect still had mail in his pocket.
