#2021-117604/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 0232 hours, a suspect went to significant lengths to gain access to the elevated entry of an occupied residence, break windows, and gain entry. Officers arrived and quickly contained the scene, made entry to the residence, and arrested the suspect before he was able to access the victims.

#2021-117695/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 0659 hours, a disturbance was heard followed by a single gunshot. The complainant saw the listed vehicle drive away shortly after the shot was fired. The shot shattered the rear window of the victim’s vehicle. The victim was uncooperative. Evidence of a shooting was recovered at the scene. The suspect and vehicle remain at-large.

#2021-118147/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 1555 hours, the victim and suspect reside in the same apartment building and are neighbors. The victim reported ongoing harassment and use of derogatory names from the suspect. The victim did not want officers to contact the suspect today. Officers advised the victim how to obtain an anti-harassment order against the suspect.

#2021-118286/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 1807 hours, a fire was reported in the 4400 block of SW Oregon St. Seattle Fire and SPD arrived to find the apartment fully engulfed in flames. SFD was able to put out the fire and extract the victim. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. At last report the victim was in critical condition and in the ICU. The SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad responded as well as the fire marshal. The fire appears to have been accidental.

#2021-118306/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 1821 hours, officers were conducting a follow up investigation to a stolen vehicle that had recently fled. During the officers’ follow up investigation they positively identified the suspect and conducted surveillance on his residence. When the suspect emerged from his residence, officers moved in to conduct an arrest and a brief foot pursuit occurred. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect without force and placed him into custody. Located on the convicted felon suspect was a loaded revolver with the serial number scratched off, which was safely recovered and placed into evidence. The male was later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of VUFA and several verified felony warrants to include possession of a stolen motor vehicle and eluding.

#2021-118316/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 1831 hours, a male pointed a handgun at another while threatening to kill him. Officers formed a contact team and took the suspect into custody. The suspect had previously been convicted for similar crimes in Oregon and had a warrant out for his arrest. The firearm used in this incident was reported stolen from Oregon. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for multiple felonies.

#2021-118367/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 1932 hours, a motorcyclist was traveling southbound. As he approached an intersection, a van traveling westbound pulled out in front of him. Motorcyclist had the right of way. The motorcycle was destroyed, and the operator had severe trauma to his right side. Seattle Fire transported the motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. The van driver showed no signs of impairment. There were no witnesses. The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad screened this incident. Patrol handled the investigation and report.

#2021-118418/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 2027 hours, officers responded back to the caller from 21-118418 (see prior SIR). The caller reported that the suspect was continuing to open his door and look at the caller anytime the caller entered or left their apartment unit. No crime was reported, and no additional biased language was reported. Officers stood by while the caller left for the night. Officers documented this in a follow up to 21-118418.

#2021-118453/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 2108 hours, officers responded to a possible burglary call. Officers contacted a possible suspect who also had an active warrant. A brief struggle ensued as officers took the suspect into custody, resulting in a Type II Use of Force. One officer sustained minor injury to hand. Suspect booked into jail.

#2021-118512/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 2216 hours, officers were dispatched to DESC Hobson Place to investigate an assault on staff member. The suspect was agitated. During the arrest, the suspect bit an officer’s hand (caused minor bleeding). Officers requested AMR to transport the suspect to the King County Jail. Seattle Fire and AMR advised sending him to Harborview Medical Center for a medical evaluation first. Exposure Packet and L & I packet completed for the victim officer. The suspect will be book into KCJ after getting discharge from HMC. Hazard Report completed. Incident was also screened by FIT.

#2021-118531/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-14-2021 at 2245 hours, a man was shot in the backyard of a private residence. There was a large gathering in the home. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center via Medic 1 with multiple gunshot wounds to his extremities. No one in the house was cooperative. The incident was screened through homicide and the Gun Violence Reduction Unit. GVRU assisted patrol in processing the scene. Evidence was recovered. No suspects could be identified.
