#2021-145209/South Precinct/Third Watch: On 6-13-2021 at 0150 hours, officers heard gun shots in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Othello Street. Moments later, 911 calls were received regarding the incident and a victim was located. After further investigation officers learned the victim was stopped at a stop sign in the 4200 block of South Holly Street when a white sedan drove by and shot at the victim 10 to 15 times, striking his vehicle. The victim was uninjured.
#2021-146355/West Precinct/First Watch: On 6-13-2021 at 0810 hours, A passerby called 911 to report that a woman had come out of a tent (under Highway 99 on Mercer Street) and pointed a gun in the air. A patrol contact team was formed and contacted the woman. The gun was recovered and found to be an unloaded pellet gun. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Mercer Street was briefly shut down during the incident between Dexter Avenue North and Taylor Avenue North.
#2021-146242/South Precinct/First Watch: On 6-13-2021 at 0352 hours, subjects heard a drilling noise underneath a car. Officers arrived as a person was sawing a catalytic converter from under a Honda. When officers announced they were present, the suspects ran. Officers caught up to the suspects. Both subjects claimed breathing issues (from sprinting from officers); male suspect had a minor cut on nose bridge obtained after running into a fence. Seattle Fire Department medics treated and cleared subjects. The suspects were booked into the King County Jail.
#2021-146438/West Precinct/First Watch: On 06-13-2021 at 1045 hours, officers were flagged down about a male gesturing to cut his neck to passersby with a 8-10 inch knife. They conducted an area check for the suspect, but could not locate him. The victim stated that the suspect put the knife up to her neck and said “f… (specific racial group), it’s because of you (racial group).” The victim was not injured. |
#2021-146451/West Precinct/First Watch: On 6-13-2021 at 1058 hours, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2400 block of Second Avenue. One witness said a male and female were in an argument. Another witness reported seeing the male hitting the female on the head. A third witness said she saw the female take out a gun and shoot at the male who was walking northbound on the sidewalk. The female suspect was last seen walking southbound on the sidewalk.
#2021-146490/South Precinct/Second Watch: On 6-13-2021 at 1154 hours, officers responded to a report of a possible burglary at a building under construction in the 6200 block of Stanley Avenue South. Upon arrival, the suspect was caught trying to leave the scene. The suspect was carrying two large trash bags of electrical wire and plumbing fittings which he had stripped from the inside of the building. The suspect was arrested.
#2021-146599/East Precinct/Second Watch: On 06-13-2021 at 1435 hours, a witness called 911 to report a male suspect had shot a gun at people and a vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene. Responding officers converged to the area and spotted a vehicle driven by a subject that matched the descriptions provided by the witness. Officers performed a high risk vehicle stop, detained the cooperating driver without incident, and cleared the vehicle. Witness show-up was negative for the detained subject and he was released at the scene. No suspect or victim was located. No shell casing was located. However, officers recovered a loaded pistol at the scene, tucked away between small shrubs. The serial number for the pistol was scraped.
#2021-146875/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch: On 6-13-2021 at 2108 hours, officers were waved down near the intersection of Delridge Way Southwest and Southwest Trenton Street. The victim reported that a man crossing the street pointed a handgun at them causing them to fear for their lives. Suspect could not be located.
