#2021-169951/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-06-2021 at 0107 hours, dispatch broadcast over radio that Harborview Medical Center security was calling in regarding a suspect who broke a window out of a Seattle Police vehicle parked in front of the hospital while the officer was on hospital guard. Officers responded and the suspect was detained. The suspect stated he damaged the vehicle because he wanted to go to jail after being discharged from HMC. The suspect used a bowling ball sized rock and caused significant damage to the vehicle (a south precinct vehicle). He was booked for Investigation of Malicious Mischief.

#2021-170165/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 07-06-2021 at 0802 hours, officers went to arrest a subject who had assaulted a Metropolitan Improvement District (MID) Ambassador. Subject was shirtless and had multiple scabs on his arms and torso. Subject resisted arrest and was taken to the ground where he sustained a minor abrasion to his shoulder and a couple of his scabbed-over wounds began to bleed. Subject was booked into King County Jail after being treated for an unrelated injury. Screened by FIT.

#2021-170361/East Precinct/First Watch:

(Reported on 07-06-2021) The victim saw a homeless man calling for assistance from anyone to help him gather his beer cans that had fallen on the ground. The female victim approached him, picked up some of his beer cans and handed them to him. He saw that the victim was a person of color, called her a racial slur, and then threw a beer can at her from very close range, striking her in the forehead. The can caused a cut that was approximately 1″ long. The victim did not report this incident to police until four days later.

#2021-170523/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-06-2021 at 1534 hours, a victim was walking in the downtown area when a suspect hit him over the head with a stick and chain. Victim sustained a head injury with lacerations and possible concussion, was transported to hospital. Officers located and arrested the suspect without incident. Suspect booked into King County Jail. Homicide and LT notified.
