Police Seek to ID Suspect After Man Beaten and Robbed in South Seattle

SPD detectives are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect who knocked a man unconscious before robbing him in a Mount Baker parking lot on July 31st.

Around 6:15 PM, the suspect approached the victim in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Rainier Avenue South and tried to grab the man’s phone. The suspect then threw the victim to the ground, stomped on him and kicked him repeatedly, knocking the victim unconscious. The suspect then rummaged through the victim’s pockets and stole his wallet and keys before walking away.

A bystander came to the victim’s aid and called 911. Medics transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he received treatment for head trauma and significant injuries to his face.

The suspect is a Black male, 5’10”, 180 lbs., with a medium build, and was wearing an orange and yellow t-shirt and black pants with a white stripe down the side at the time of the attack.
