#2021-228535/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-01-2021 at 1600 hours, officers were dispatched to SR99 SB access for a male in crisis. While en route multiple callers reported the male jumped on vehicles. Officers closed SB access for SR99 and contacted the male. The male charged toward an officer and struck his arm causing transient pain. The suspect was arrested for Assault 3 without incident. Suspect is currently at Harborview Medical Center for injuries sustained from jumping on and off vehicles. #2021-228596/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-01-2021 at 1712 hours, officers responded to a bank robbery and a possible suspect was located and detained. A witness to the robbery positively identified the subject as the suspect. Post Miranda, the suspect admitted to the robbery. Suspect booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
#2021-228611/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-01-2021 at 1728 hours, officers responded to a 911 call for an unknown male running through backyards in the 1000 Block of California AV SW. When officers arrived on scene, they located the subject after he forced entry into a resident in the 1000 block of California LN SW. He was stopped and detained by officers without incident. Once Probable Cause was established the subject was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary along with outstanding Felony Escape from Community Custody Warrant.
#2021-228912/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-01-2021 at 2356 hours, officers responded to a suspicious male on someone’s doorstep. The suspect had been there for 30 minutes and would not leave even after the occupants of the home made it clear they were there and did not want him there. Officers contacted the suspect, ran him, and he came back with multiple felony warrants for Assault 3, no bail out of Pierce County. Suspect was placed in cuffs. Pierce County refused to verify. Suspect was released, so an SPD Sgt was notified and responded to the scene. Suspect was still there. Sgt had him placed back in cuffs while SPD checked to see if we could arrange a meet or direct book into SCORE. Dispatch told us that Pierce County wasn’t booking for Assault 3 warrants at this time under any circumstances. Suspect was released.
