#2021-248422/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 09-21-2021 at 0355 hours, the driver of a Dodge Viper had recently acquired it. During a break from work, the driver took a co-worker out for a spin in the new ride. The car was a manual transmission. The driver had his bulky steel toed work boots on. His foot slipped to the side, getting trapped under the brake or clutch pedal and he was unable to free his foot. The vehicle accelerated out of control on to the sidewalk, up a large section of conduit, struck a phone pole, severing it, and came to rest in a large grassy area to the east of the roadway on its convertible roof top. Driver and passenger extricated by Seattle Fire. Both transported to Harborview Medical Center via Medic 1. PER SFD, neither had life threatening or visible major injuries. City Light responded to replace the phone pole.
#2021-249064/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-21-2021 at 1645 hours, a suspect entered the Wells Fargo located at 8517 35 Ave North Street and approached the teller. The victim described the suspect as a male 5’8” to 5’9”, thin build with broad shoulders, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, distinctive pink framed sunglasses with red lenses. The suspect presented a white Amazon delivery bag and demanded money. The suspect claimed that he was armed. The suspect did not present a weapon, but the victim observed the outline of a large object in the front pocket of the hooded sweatshirt, possibly a firearm. The victim hit the alarm and did not comply with the suspect’s demands. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
#2021-249247/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-21-2021 at 2100 hours, officers responded to an in progress commercial burglary in the 500 block of S Jackson ST, Seattle WA. A female suspect was taken into custody. When a female officer arrived to conduct a search of the suspect, the suspect began assaulting officers by kicking, scratching, and spitting upon them.
