#2021-315239/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 0045 hours, a male was walking in Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Park when he was approached by two suspects. Suspect 1 placed a handgun to the victim’s head and stated, “What you got?” Afraid, the victim handed over his phone. The suspects fled on foot. An area check was completed with negative results for the suspects. The cell phone was later located abandoned nearby and returned to the victim.

#2021-315526/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 0945 hours, officers saw a suspect vehicle that had rammed a patrol vehicle on 11/13/21 (2021-301692) parked in a corner of a parking lot at 12 Av S/S Jackson. Officers pinned the vehicle, however, when the suspect became aware of the officers he backed up and then accelerated forward, striking the right-side bumper of the patrol car. The suspect struck the patrol car and narrowly missed striking an officer, who dove out of the way. The suspect, who realized he was pinned in, took off running but was caught after a short foot pursuit. Suspect will be booked into King County Jail. Screened with FIT. Level I Use of Force.

#2021-315700/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 1402 hours, officers responded to Roosevelt High School where they informed by the principal of a post on Instagram that threatened students. The principal told officers he believed that the Instagram account was created in retaliation for a presentation. An additional threat was posted. There is no suspect information, and the account has since been deleted.

#2021-316018/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 1945 hours, officers responded to the area of 15 Av S and S Lucile St Seattle WA regarding shot heard. Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting in the street. Officers were unable to locate any victim, witness, suspect, or damage. Officers processed the scene. The report will be forwarded to Gun Violence Reduction Unit.

#2021-316033/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 2101 hours, an incident occurred at Georgetown Playfield. Several juveniles attending a soccer game observed someone with guns by the RV just south of the soccer field. They alerted their parents to call 911. They also heard shots coming from the RV and subjects were seen leaving the area. Officers responded and secured the scene. Officers used a PA and ordered the sole male occupant/victim to exit the RV. The male eventually exited his RV and was semi-cooperative and stated that someone drove by and shot at his RV’s window for no apparent reason. The victim was unable to provide any description. Officers processed the scene and photographed the RV. Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified.

#2021-316118/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 2211 hours, a patrol officer was driving a fully marked SPD vehicle westbound on S Spokane St. The suspect was on the southwest corner of 5 Av S / S Spokane St. As the officer passed by, the suspect threw a golf ball sized rock at the officer. The rock struck the officer’s driver’s side window, and the marks left by the rock show that the rock was thrown at the officer’s head. Additional units were summoned to the scene and the suspect was arrested without further incident. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Assault 3.

#2021-316072/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 2120 hours, officers responded to Yale Ave & Denny Way regarding the report of a physical fight in progress. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with both parties, as the fight had concluded. During the investigation, probable cause was developed on one subject for Investigation of Robbery. That same subject then assaulted an officer by pushing them, prior to being taken into custody. He later spat on another officer, and a spit sock was applied. Neither assault resulted in any injuries. Suspect was subsequently booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery, and two counts of Investigation of Assault.

#2021-316097/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 2146 hours, officers responded to the 4100 block of SW Morgan St to investigate a robbery. The complainant reported that the suspect attempted to leave a business without paying for an alcoholic beverage. When confronted by the employees, the suspect assumed a fighting stance and produced a piece of chain which he whipped at employees before fleeing the scene. Officer reviewed evidence and recognized the suspect from previous incidents. He was contacted at his nearby residence but refused to come out. After numerous attempts by officers and Hostage Negotiation Team to gain voluntary compliance, a warrant was obtained and served by SWAT. The suspect was arrested without incident and booked into King County Jail. Robbery was notified.

#2021-316128/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-29-2021 at 2217 hours, officers responded to a report of a female stabbed. Upon arrival they contacted victim 1 who had sustained significant injuries, but advised she had not been stabbed, but rather beaten with a rolling pin. Officers were advised that the suspect was still in her apartment possibly armed with a knife and gave consent to enter. Officers responded to the 5th floor of the building and formed a contact team. On-duty SWAT advised they were in en route and Hostage Negotiation Team was requested. Officers attempted to verbally call the suspect out without success. While doing so victim 1 advised that there was a 2nd victim in the apartment “who got it worse than I did.” Based on the updated information it was determined that exigency existed, and patrol and SWAT officers moved forward and entered the apartment unit. Inside the unit officers located the suspect and the injured 2nd victim. The suspect was taken into custody, during the arrest type I force was used. The suspect was ultimately booked for assault and harassment.
