#2021-319151/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 0645 hours, according to the victim he was sleeping in the parking garage located at the 2600 BLK of SW Andover St. The victim stated that an unknown male approached him, took his skateboard, and hit him in the face with his skateboard. The suspect told the victim how the skateboard belongs to him, but the victim claimed he brought it from another person. The suspect fled the scene with the victim’s skateboard. The suspect wasn’t located, and the victim possibly gave the officers false identifying information. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center by AMR.
#2021-319249/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 0906 hours, two street performers began arguing over who was going to be able to perform at 1 AV / Pike St. One person pulled an expandable baton out during the argument, and the other person then pulled out a gun. Police arrived, formed a contact team, and approached the scene using a ballistic shield and a patrol car as cover. The suspect with the gun was detained and the firearm was recovered. The suspect with the firearm did not have a CPL, and the weapon was seized.
#2021-319358/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 1126 hours, it was reported that an unknown suspect came to an encampment located at 36 AV S and S Adams St yesterday and threatened to burn the encampment down if it was not removed by today. This same unknown suspect came today and set fire to an occupied tent causing injuries to the occupant. SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad will conduct the follow-up.
#2021-319433/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 1240 hours, King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) contacted SPD today about a gunshot victim who arrived at a Burien hospital around 0500 hours. He was uncooperative with police and would not provide many details, but he claimed he had been sleeping in a sleeping bag near 9th Ave S. & S. Jackson St. when someone shot him. Friends drove him to the Burien hospital for a non-life-threatening wound but dropped him off just short of the hospital. KCSO completed an investigation to provide for SPD follow-up. The victim was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. There were no reports of any shots fired calls in the described area at the described time or place.
#2021-319594/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 1554 hours, 911 was called regarding a physical disturbance between two males in the 4500 block of Meridian Av N in which one of the males was reportedly stabbed and bleeding profusely. Officers responded to the scene and secured the area for Seattle Fire to treat the victim, who was transported via Medic One to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. A suspect was located a short distance away and taken into custody after being positively identified via a witness show-up. A knife was recovered as well. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault. This call was screened with Homicide.
#2021-319674/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 1720 hours, officers responded to a hospital for a gunshot victim found in front of the hospital. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the leg. Officers checked the area but did not locate a scene. The victim was headed to surgery as of the writing of this SIR.
#2021-319905/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 2215 hours, officers were flagged down by a witness to an arson that occurred earlier (see 21-319358) in the day. During this arson a tent was set on fire and a subject inside the tent received severe burns to his arms, head, and neck. The witness positively identified the suspect to officers who took the subject into custody without incident. The clothing worn during the original arson incident was secured and placed into evidence and the suspect was booked into King County Jail. Arson Bomb Squad (ABS) was screened but the suspect was not willing to speak with officers. He was subsequently booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Arson and Investigation of Assault. ABS will complete the follow up to this incident.
#2021-319996/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-03-2021 at 2318 hours, an unknown suspect shot an adult male in the 600 block of Yesler WY Seattle WA. The victim was treated on scene by SPD officers and transported to Harborview Medical Center by Seattle Fire for further medical care.
