#2021-322961/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-07-2021 at 1052 hours, a suspect was inside the Safeway located at the 4700 BLK of 4200 Ave SW. Safeway employees saw the suspect grab and conceal items. The employees watched the suspect and confronted him about the concealed food items. The suspect walked past all points of sale and the Safeway employees attempted to get the suspect to pay for the items. The suspect lunged at one employee and grabbed a second employee. The suspect exited the store with the stolen items. Officers checked the area for the suspect, but he wasn’t located.
#2021-323139/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-07-2021 at 1442 hours, officers were dispatched to a downtown Seattle hotel regarding a male in crisis, partially in the water. Upon arrival, officers observed the subject dangling from a ladder with his feet in the 50-degree water. Officers, with the assistance of Hostage Negotiation Team and Harbor Patrol, negotiated with the subject for nearly 2 hours and were able to convince the subject to climb back up the ladder. The subject was transported via AMR to a local hospital for an evaluation.
#2021-323363/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-07-2021 at 1954 hours, officers responded to a senior care home located in the 1700 block of California AVE SW to a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers found a window to a basement door smashed. A check inside located a suspect hiding in a cabinet. This individual was taken into custody without incident and later booked into the King County Jail.
#2021-323416/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-07-2021 at 2052 hours, an incident occurred at the Atlantic City Boat Ramp. The victim was sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle playing on his phone. Approximately 5 males in their teens walked up to the victim and pulled him out of the car. One of the suspects pistol-whipped the victim, took his keys, and all 5 suspects left in the victim’s vehicle. Patrol processed the scene. Robbery Unit advised.
#2021-323527/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-07-2021 at 2353 hours, officers responded to reports of shots fired near the 5900 block of E Marginal Way S. Officers located evidence of a shooting but no victims or witnesses were located. Two RVs that were parked underneath the 1st Av S Bridge were struck by gunfire multiple times. Patrol processed the scene and submitted the recovered evidence.
