A 25-year-old man set fire to a construction site in Queen Anne and fled the scene on a scooter early Wednesday before he was arrested for arson.
Around 3 AM, witnesses reportedly saw the man—who appeared to be experiencing some form of crisis—yelling and upending a portable toilet in a construction site Highland Drive and Taylor Ave North.
A witness reported seeing the suspect leave the scene on a scooter just as flames rose from the construction site.
Officers found the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody.
Police are also investigating whether the same suspect was involved in another fire at 6th Avenue North and N. Highland.
