#2021-334675/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-20-2021 at 0330 hours, officers responded to an in progress residential burglary. Upon arrival, the complainant positively identified the suspect who was still on scene, standing outside the residence, on the city sidewalk. Officers contacted the suspect and attempted to place her under arrest, but the suspect resisted arrest, and a brief struggle ensued. During the struggle an officer was cut on his hand from a knife the suspect had concealed inside her jacket sleeve (suspect didn’t actively cut the officer). The injury was minor but did require medical attention and resulted in a trip to the hospital. The suspect was booked for burglary. Several Type I Use of Force reports were completed.
