#2021-339558/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-26-2021 at 0843 hours, a burglary occurred at Lafayette Elementary School which is located at the 2600 BLK of California Ave SW. The burglary occurred between 12/23-2021 and 12/26/2021. The custodian arrived this morning and saw damage inside the school. Officers observed a lot of vandalism; there were open cartons of milk spilled on the floor, floor wax all over the floor, food had been strewn all over the floor, and someone threw paint all over a room. The suspect/suspects damaged electronic equipment, and possibly even the electric box inside the basement.
#2021-339970/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-26-2021 at 1957 hours, a male forced entry into an occupied residence and the homeowner grabbed a knife to defend himself. The suspect took the knife and stabbed the homeowner several times (non-life-threatening injuries). The suspect barricaded himself in the apartment and the victim managed to get out of the apartment. Hostage Negotiation Team was called to the scene and officers were able to make entry into the residence without incident. The suspect was arrested and taken to the West Pct. Prior to being transported to King County Jail the subject kicked and spat on two officers. The incident was screened by Lt.
