#2022-008045/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-10-2022 at 1429 hours, while a male victim was parked a suspect got into his vehicle and threatened him with a taser. The second suspect then got into the back seat. Suspects were males, possibly teenagers. Suspect pressed a taser against victim’s arm and sparked it, causing pain to victim, and told him to drive approximately one block before having him stop and telling the victim to get out. Once victim was out, a female got into the back seat. The suspects then drove away, striking another vehicle in the process. Screened with Robbery SGT.
#2022-008112/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-10-2022 at 1548 hours, a subject started a fire outside of an occupied apartment complex, the fire burned a portion of the building. The fire caused at least $5,000 in damage. There were no injuries. Seattle Fire responded and extinguished the fire. The subject admitted to officers that she’d started the fire. She was arrested and booked into the King County Jail. This incident was screened with the Arson Bomb Squad.
#2022-008146/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-10-2022 at 1617 hours, officers responded to a malicious harassment incident. The victim was approached by the suspect who asked for a cigarette, which the victim provided. The suspect then began preaching to the victim and began calling him a bias slur. The victim went to leave the area due to the suspect’s language. As the victim was leaving the suspect charged at him and punched him twice in the back. The victim believes the assault was motivated by bias. The suspect assaulted one additional victim in the area. Once officers arrived, they engaged in a brief foot pursuit before the suspect was taken into custody. Suspect was declined at King County Jail (KCJ) due to his vitals not appearing right. Once cleared from Harborview Medical Center he was booked into KCJ for investigation of malicious harassment. Incident was screened.
#2022-008154/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-10-2022 at 1629 hours, the VA Hospital Police called requesting SPD’s assistance for a gunshot victim who walked into the ER. The 57-year-old victim had a non-life-threating gun shot to his leg. He told arriving officers that he was at an appointment at the VA when he and his girlfriend decided to go get some food and cigarettes. He said they were in the area of 7 Av S/ S Jackson St and he was talking to some friends while his girlfriend waited in the car. He stated three unknown males were walking in the area that were in some type of disturbance when he felt a pain in his leg. When he returned to their car, he realized he had been shot. He then had his girlfriend drive him back to the VA where he reported the shooting. Officers were in the area at the time of the reported shooting and did not locate a scene or any disturbance. Gun Violence Reduction Unit notified of the incident.
#2022-008335/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-10-2022 at 2207 hours, a female reported that she parked her vehicle in the 6300 block of 16 Av SW on 01/02 or 01/03 during the snowstorm. The victim was alerted by her friend on 01/04 that her vehicle had bullet damage. When the victim went to pick her vehicle up on 01/10, she discovered the damage and called police. The vehicle sustained numerous bullet impacts to the driver side rear passenger window and door. A search of the area where the vehicle was parked was conducted but no evidence of a shooting was located. Gun Violence Reduction Unit not available to screen, notified via email.
