#2022-007172/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-09-2022 at 1215 hours, officers responded to the 4700 block of 42 AV SW regarding an unintentional discharge of a firearm inside an apartment. The caller reported he had been practicing weapon manipulations with his newly purchased handgun, which he believed was unloaded, when it discharged. The round passed through an unoccupied apartment before coming to stop in an unoccupied salon. Officers retrieved the bullet as evidence.
#2022-007288/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-09-2022 at 1459 hours, officers responded to a call of a male in crisis. Crisis Response Team units were requested. Once a contact team was formed the male was contacted via phone and agreed to meet SPD and medics outside of his apartment. Seattle Fire treated the male for cuts on his hand. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. A CRT referral will be made.
