#2022-031948/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-07-2022 at 0048 hours, officers entered the Beacon Hill area to investigate a report of suspicious activity. As officers entered the area, a suspicious vehicle not related to the call was located. After observing furtive movement that, to the officer, distinctly appeared to be the driver and passenger attempting to hide firearms under their respective seats, contact was made, guns were seen, Probable Cause was developed, and the two occupants were arrested. Later, officers conducted a search warrant of the vehicle, which was impounded to the processing room, and the 2 guns seen by officers were recovered. Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified of the arrest and the search warrant. Robbery was also sent the reports.
#2022-031983/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-07-2022 at 0325 hours, several 911 calls reported shots heard in the area of 7 Av S/S Weller St. Officers responded and searched the area both on foot and in vehicles. No victim was located, no evidence located.
#2022-032017/East Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-07-2022 at 0449 hours, officers responded to a 911 call at Swedish First Hill and located a stolen vehicle out of Renton. Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle. The vehicle contained a large assortment of stolen items out of Kent including a catalytic converter and Sawzall. Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) was notified and responded to interview the suspect. MCTF will be handling the case follow-up.
#2022-032316/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-07-2022 at 1248 hours, a dump truck driving in the 1100 block of California Av Sw snagged a low-hanging power line. This caused the connected power pole to fall over. Several residents lost power to their homes and California Av Sw was closed to traffic. Patrol, SRT, and City Light responded to the scene. Just over an hour later, the roadway was reopened, but the power wasn’t expected to be restored for several more hours.
#2022-032445/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-07-2022 at 1532 hours, officers responded to Harborview Medical Center for a subject creating a disturbance that hospital staff wanted removed. Officers made contact and discovered the subject had an outstanding warrant for Harassment. King County Jail would not book for this violation and officers were forced the let the suspect go. The suspect responded to the release by assaulting a nearby Security Guard. Officers chased the suspect down and arrested him for Assault. The subject subsequently assaulted an officer by spitting on her twice. Officers attempted to book the subject for Investigation of Assault on an Officer, but the jail refused the subject. The subject was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a guard placed on him pending a booking.
#2022-032606/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-07-2022 at 1905 hours, two unknown, armed suspects robbed a marijuana dispensary. The suspects took an unspecified amount of cash and fled on foot. Robbery detectives responded.
